Sponsored Senior Design Projects

Along the lines of teaching, I have also sponsored mechanical engineering senior design projects. I have sponsored 10 teams total at the University of Louisville and University of Tennessee over the past four years. It is always humbling, helps me regain perspective, and is just plain fun. The projects were an image transfer module retraction mechanism, caster base redesign, banner feeder input redesign, banner feeder output redesign, toner cartridge contact test fixture, and a side opening door break away feature. One team at the University of Louisville has won a Cummins Engine sponsored award for best mechanical engineering senior design project  and one team has been named as the runner-up.
