Banner Feeder Redesign

Right before start of production, the banner feeder stopped working. I was pulled in to help assess the situation and my team discovered the input side did not allow the banner paper to feed into the printer, the output side did not contain the banner paper, the printer’s firmware was not set up to handle the banner paper, and the manufacturing quality varied widely. The redesign came with several months of experimentation, statistical analysis, and prototyping. I helped deliver a solution to the customers while not only managing the design, but also manufacturing, information development (installation instructions, packaging labels, banner feeder labels, etc), industrial design, artwork, customers, and constant team changes.

I received a Manager's Award for saving this project and later presented it to win the company's first Career Start/New Hire Symposium.
